Pushchairs/ Travel systems.. Aaargh!!

I had a Mamas & Papas pram with my first son (oh so long ago). I was good but at about 6 months old the collapsing control broke. I went back to the shop and they replaced it with a completely new pram free of charge. Excellent customer service :)

I also had a Maclaren buggy for holidays and trips out in the car. But that Mamas & Papas pram lasted AGES. I also was able to sell it on for a good price when my son was too big for it. That was a definite plus point.

Thats how Im justifying spending alot on a pushchair, at least if its still in good condition 6 months down the line you can get a good price for it :D

re-sell value is always important.

Oh and Kirsty, yeah Mothercare still do an account card - they offered it to me last time I was in I said better not I'd spend up to my limit in seconds!!! :rotfl: I wish they wouldn't offer them to me really, M&S always offer me one too (even if I just buy a sandwich  ) I've had heaps of store cards in the past, dangerous!!! Never again!! :shakehead:

wow thanks for all the responses..... I think we have made a decision......... the Britax Vigour 4 Travel System

http://www.twoleftfeet.co.uk/acatalog/B ... acite.html

It seems to do everything I think we need. The handles are adjustable as I am quite tall, it is reversible, really easy to fold up and fold quite small and the different attachments - pushchair, car seat and carry cot are all really easy to fit on the frame. It is just really nice to push about and manouvere too.

Just got to decide on the colour now!!! :D

My MIL bought us a present of the Jeep Infinity package from Kiddicare http://www.kiddicare.com/invt/trvespinfnypshcrycom?N=1145 which comes with pushchair, carrycot, cosytoes and changing bag and she bought the carseat separately but the whole package came to £250 including delivery. Its got good reviews online.

I am really surprised by that link to Two Left Feet. I live in Bedford where they are based and they have a fantastic reputation locally. They started off as a small high street shop and now have a huge show room and warehouse. A lot of my friends have got their stuff from them and they have never had any problems. The travel system we want is also a lot cheaper here than any where else I have seen.

I guess the mail order side of the business is not as good as the shop, so glad it is on my door stop!

So - where is everyone getting their travel systems from then?

the bad press about Two Left Feet has really thrown us as we just assumed we would go there, but am really worried now they will not come up with the goods, we both had nightmares about pushcahairs on Saturday!?

EEk! Nighmares about pushchairs! Time to shop around TopBird! :)

OH and I are having a weekend away in a months time. We are going to Hampshire for the weekend and plan to visit the big shopping centre in Southampton to check out all the pushchairs. It still seems a bit early at the moment... but I like browsing of course! ;)
