Pronouncing Ayla?

Hi everyone just looking for some opinions, I love the sound of Isla but don't like the spelling, I prefer Ayla, would you pronounce this the same as Isla or different? X

So would I, speaking to a couple of friends it seems people have different opinions. I love it spelt Ayla and pronounced 'Eye-la' suppose Id need to accept different people would say it differently x

I would pronounce it Ay-la but I read a book a long time ago where the main character had that name so its now in my head as Ay-la.

Yeah, you'll never get 100% of people pronouncing it the same. Everyone that matters will grasp it quickly. It's a very pretty way of spelling it.

Both Ayla and Isla are on my list. I've loved both names for years. I pronounce them both differently, Ay-la and Eye-la xx

I'd pronounce them the same and I prefer Ayla too, to be honest.. when I read Isla I always want to pronounce it the way it's spelled - like the spanish word for island... So I prefer Ayla It's a gorgeous name!

I know a girl named Ayla , and hers is different to Isla. It's pronounced Ay-la ..
I do know someone who spelt Isla like Iyla though, what about that? x
