Ok so I am one of those people who has to be organised and hate leaving things till the last minute. I am also ridiculously money conscious in everything that I buy but have to be with our situation. So my cousin gets married in July in Norfolk (4.5hrs from where we live) so already having to fork out £300 for accommodation for the 3 of us I am being very careful on whay else I spend....sorry rambling on here but I am going to have to buy a new outfit because I will be 7 months by then so been searching for cheapest outfit as I will only wear it once (no more children after this!) found a black/navy dress......would it be wrong to wear black to a wedding in July???? Its plain black velvet (cheapest I have found and like)?????

I have a wedding in August when I will be 7 months, so am planning on getting some kind of cheap maxi dress. It's going to look like a tent, but like you said, only going to be worn once! Mine will be as cheap as possible, lol!
I'm more concerned about a family party when I'm 12 weeks, as I'm just going to look fat and bloated rather than pregnant!

As for black, I don't see a massive issue, maybe use have a white cardigan and bag, just to lighten it up a bit if you are worried....

I love black clothes! I wouldn't worry about the colour is don't think anyone will be too bothered about what other people wear? You can always have a look in charity shops if you really don't wanna wear it tho.

My husband calls me antisocial but why spend a fortune on something for 12hrs

I wouldn't wear the dress but only because it is black velvet and I think it will be too warm in July for that. The colour black in itself is fine in my opinion, would just lighten it with accessories. Asos have really cheap maternity dresses at the mo, like £11! Nice too xx

I agree with Lisey. I would go for something like a thin maxi in July as you will get uncomfortable. I would only go for black or navy if the fabrics is very thin. Most maxi dress styles will accommodate a bump you may want to get a long one and ask someone to hem it nearer the time.
I will be Maid of Honour in May so not too warm but my dress is a 12. It's stretchy enough for the tummy but since getting pregnant I have tried it on and I'm bulging at the bust. So be careful with the tightness of the chest x
