Hi ladies,

Me and hubby have a plan that at the end of 2014 we will look into getting private treatment. We have been tested so far on nhs and all good with tests I ovulate hubby sperm good. We have issues with timing due to hubby shifts so have agreed to give it til end of next year as hubby is changing jobs at the moment and if we have not caught then look into private treatment. Can anyone recommend a good fertility clinic, want to start looking into it and researching it now as I have not got any clue about where to start! Thanks xxx

A friend of a friend recommended Emma cannon. I think she's more of an 'alternative' approach so it depends what you're looking for. I called to enquire but didn't make an appt as it was quite pricey (from memory about £200 for first consultation I think)

Good luck, hope you get your bfp before then xx

Hey, looks like i'll be going down this route soon so i'll keep you posted. The two places we'll be considering are spire based at Wellesley in Southend and are partnered with London fertility on Harley street and Bourne hall as they have a main clinic in Colchester/Cambridge and a satellite clinic in wickford (i'm in Essex). I have a good friend who has just had her IVF baby and she used Bourne Hall and couldn't rate it higher. I also have a friend who conceived at Herts and Essex and was very positive about it. I had my HSG private at the Wellesley in Southend and i've booked a private consult with the specialist there on 2nd December so if that all goes well i may well end up just going along with things with them as i've kind of started with them and aside from the nitty gritty bits that would involve travelling to london i can have all the other stuff very close to home...it may come down to price however as i think Spire is a bit more expensive than Bourne Hall, especially for ICSI which we may need, I guess as its partnered with London Fertility on Harley Street xx

I've cycled with a few people who rate both Bourne Hall and the Lister very highly, especially the Lister.

For initial consultation and a fertility MOT I'd highly recommend Luciano Nardo. I went to see him a couple of years back and he's excellent.

If timing is the issue, then maybe iui would be a good option for you.

xxxx

Thanks ladies I have no clue what any of the technical terms mean so trying to research as much as possible xxx

I have had 2 friends at Barts in London who both got pregnant there and Herts & Essex. I have been to both and they were really good.

And in response to Mishi Dr Nardo is very good too. He did my hysteroscopy last year. Really good Doctor.
