So, although we are not TTC until things have settled down, I am taking steps to prepare my body for pregnancy, so I can be as healthy as possible for when the time comes, this includes:

1. losing weight (current BMI is about 26.5)
2. going to the gym 3 times a week to build core strength for carrying and getting back into shape afterwards
3. completing yogalates 3-4 times a week to get my body ready, and stretchy (LOL)
4. taking supplements (not pre pregnancy ones but normal vits)
5. eating lots of fruit and veg each day, with some protein (but unfortunately a lot of chocolate also... :shakehead:)
6. taking folic acid each day as i heard you can take this a year before trying, and it will really help, especially when you are a bit older
7. sorting out my divorce and selling my house, which has to wait until next year!

I think this is everything, please let me know if there is something else I should be doing?

Thanks guys :) xx

Oh what a great idea, I'm sorry I'm no help when it comes to anymore suggestions I will however be stealing a few of yours! Cheeky git I know! :)

Bookworm suggested doing a bucket list of all the things you won't be able to do once pregnant and with a new born, I couldn't think of any (I'm beginning to feel I have no imagination) but she was going to do things like take a drive and find a nice hotel and drink at christmas.

Doing a bucket list of everything you enjoy might just set you up to be fully relaxed and happy when it's finally time to ttc and I think that helps.

great ideas Vixx!

yeah my bucket list is boring though because i have toddlers at home anyway (well...i suppose now theyre nearly 4 and very nearly 2 they arent toddlers...but that means i have to admit they are growing and that just cant be happening this fast!!) if i had no kids there'd be more on the list lol!

finish my second novel is on the list before baby 3 comes along too lol

although, to do that one, i need to fix the laptop...

see, very boring bucket list!

Hello Ladies :)

No LauraJane, Im sure you have plenty of imagination but I think its hard to think of things to do when having a baby is all you really want... but Im just focusing on getting in shape and fit, so that my body is in the best possible place when we do TTC and also yoga is good for relieving stress as my job can be quite stressful at times :/ a bucket list is a great idea though!

Wow that sounds interesting Bookworm, writing a novel?! And you definitely seem to have your hands full with two little ones also... I couldnt imagine getting anything done! haha

I haven't even thought of completing a bucket list, but I might, but I do already have a teenage son, so feel I have probably covered a lot of things before having a baby, but it will be a shock to the system having no sleep, no freedom and no money!
One thing we would like to do as a family before TTC is go on holiday together next April for my sons 14th birthday, this would be amazing for my son who has had a really tough year, well we both have and teens is not an easy place to be even when things are perfectly fine at home.

One more thing I have given up is caffeine! I have been a coffee addict since the age of 10/11 and was drinking 6-10 cups a day but a few weeks ago I gave up full coffee for decaf and fruit teas, which is making me sleep a lot better at night :) xx

wow that sounds amazing a holiday for his birthday :) teens are not simple, hubby and i have a youth group in our church and theyre hard enough but i get to give them back every week ;)

I have published a fantasy novel on kindle and in print but its only for sale in one little book shop so far lol! am currently writing the sequel :)

youre a braver woman than i, i couldnt give up caffeine, it keeps me human
