pregnancy test at 8dpo

Hey I'm going to a party tonight and up until an hour ago I had full intention of letting my hair down and having a few drinks. Now I'm doubting i show do it, I know this sounds ridiculous but I'm considering doing a test to check. I was gonna use the first response test, I'm only 8dpo so I'm unlikely to see a positive even if I was pregnant right?

Has any! Used a test this early and got a positive, or am I just wasting my money? X x x

It will probably be a waste of money. If you use a digi test before your missed period ideally you should use your FMU to get a more accurate result. But I would say 8 DPO is too early anyway :/

Hey love, id say you may not get a good reading, i didnt get my bfp till 8 days late lol so if i tested 8dpo i would have deffo got a neg. Have a few drinks you should be fine. I had a drink before i found out. I did a test 14dpo got a neg and had a drink and everything is fine xxxx

About the earliest you can get any positive is about 9dpo but even then there's only a slim chance anything will show up.

My recommendation is to go out and enjoy yourself xx

i got mine at 9dpo but it was vvv faint just let ya hair down and have fun its highly unlikely a few drinks will do any hurt i hyave fully intentions of letting my hair down till i get a bfp i have tried the gd girl aproach and well it turn out as well as i would have wanted , have fun xxx

Hope you had a good night out, when I got my BFP it was out of the blue and I'd had regular glasses of wine with dinner and stuff right up until the night before my BFP! Baby is healthy and fine so don't worry about it. Relaxing and not thinking too much about it can sometimes be the thing your body needs

Hey ladies thanks for the replies,

I didn't bother with the test yesterday, like you all said 8dpo is way to early, and i would have been using mid afternoon urine so i highly doubt it would have shown anything.

I did however go out and had a brilliant night, pushed all thought of ttc out of my head and let my hair down. Altho i didnt go crazy, stopped drinking for a while half way through the night and went on to water for a while, then carried on drinking. Got a bit tipsy but not drunk, i woke up fresh as a daisy! My OH on the other hand is not so fresh he's got a nice hang over and is currently feeling rather sorry for himself!!

I'm sure he did it on purpose tho as today was ment to be our cleaning day, he was ment to help me clean the house, looks like i'll be doing it myself!

I know a friend who got a positive at 8dpo. But...... she was not charting she just counted days and it was a the first cycle after a mc so everything is a little crazy then anyway. So she could have been farther along.
