hi

I had the marina coil in March this year, i have just finished a period just over a week ago, but i am feeling incredibly nauseous today.

any thoughts.

when i am pregnant i do suffer sickness early on.

:? :? :?

Do you still have the coil fitted Davina? Or have you had it removed as you are ttc?

If you still have this fitted, do a test immediately. I don't want to scare you, but I had this coil for 10 years, and my GP told me that if I did get pg whilst on it (very rare), there was a very high risk of the pregnancy being eptopic.

Best of luck hun. Please let us know.

Hi Tankett

No i had the mirena coil fitted for the first time on the 27 March. I did have a period which finished just over a week ago. Do you think that i should wait until my next period is due before doing a test.

I am worried especially as the surgeon told me not to try for a few years. :?

Hmmm, a toughy then. Realistically it should be too early for pregnancy symptoms, but we all know that everyone is different.

Personally I would probably do a test now just to be on the safe side.

i will wait a couple of days to see if the sickness eases off. and i will probably do one at the weekend.

fingers crossed this is nothing.

Although 13 years ago now, my mum got pregnant with my sister whilst she had the coil :D

My mum got pregnant through the coil also, I dont know if this will make you bleed or not though, I know you can still have periods when your pregnant but its quite rare....

i know Duds, the odds are stacked that i am not pregnant, but i do suffer from nausea right from the beginning like how i am feeling now. what else can make me feel like this.

i am tired and i have had a cold, and i had a glass of wine and ate my dinner really late, could any of these have an effect.

sorry for going on about this, but i was advised by my surgeon not to get pregnant again for a few years as the c sections have taken a toll on my uterus and now i am panicking. it wouldnt be worth me doing a test as it would be negative. The last time of bding was before my period which finished over a week ago, so the likelyhood of me being pregnant is minute.

i am really scared about this.

If it is any consolation I have a really bad cold at the mo (from OH) and we both felt very sick with it. I am hungry but feel sick constantly :?

beanie thats exactly how i feel.

i dont feel as sick today, there is just a slight nausea feeling. i am telephoning the doctor today. want to make sure that the coil is in place.

 I've been feeling sick for days too hon, might be a bug? I thought I was going to throw up this morning and just now at the butchers.

Kina - you might be pregnant, no?
I gagged every time a smelt meat. Once when pregnant with Oscar, I started gagging in the butchers.... ran to the car and nded up throwing up all over the steering wheel and my lap!! :puke: :D :D

Not due on for another 9 days and don't think I've done enough BD!!

I think stress can make you feel pukey too :puke: At my last job every morning I felt like throwing up in the car on the way to work, it was a real physical feeling :puke: :puke:

Ahhh try not to scare yourself Davina as you'll only feel worse. You just reminded me actually it could well be because your coil has moved ... I have heard that they can make you quite ill if the move to the wrong area... good luck anyway, hope you feel better & keep us posted...
