I ran out of tablets and didn't get to the shops for 4 days. During this time I felt well.
I have been on my new pack for two days and felt hideous since then. Now I haven't taken today's yet and feel ok up to now.
Is this coincidence?
Could the Pregnacare be to blame for the nausea??? x

The most important thing is folic acid and that doesn't cause nausea nearly as often as the full range of supplements in pregnacare, I'm on preconceive and it's not causing nausea but don't worry about ditching pregnacare and going for folic acid on its own ;) poor you xx

I liked Pregnacare because it has advanced iron and lots of vits. I suffer badly from anaemia in pregnancy so that caught my eye. I think I'll swap for a bit and see what happens. I'm due to stop folic acid soon anyway xxx

I couldnt take pregnacare because it made me sick and I've heard a few of the other women on here say the same. I would definitely try swapping to something else and seeing if that helps. Personally I just dont take anything now, but Im not anaemic or anything so its not so important for me.

I had to stop taking pregnacare because it was making me sick too x

I'm made up to hear this, it means a possible end to the nausea :) xx

There were a lot of girls saying the same when I was in tri 1. Tesco own r just as good xxxx

That's good to know, I am keen to take some sort of multi vit with iron xx

It's poo and really gets me down but if it's due to the tablets then I hope it will stop when I stop taking them. And here's me hoping that the nausea was down to it being a girl baby :( x

blimey fancy summet that is meant to be real gd for pregnant ladies actualy making u ill like that instead thats crazy :-/ xx

I feel brighter today for not taking it, maybe it's psychological but either way! Never underestimate the power of the mind x

Same as some of the other ladies, i stopped taking it because it made my Sickness worse x

if you have a good varied diet you shouldn't need extra supplements at all but I agree that taking folic acid is a must and extra iron maybe useful especially later on in pregnancy , I've never taken anything else , I agree save your money .Good luck xx

I suffer anaemia in pregnancy so I do like to take supplements but I'm due to stop taking folic acid soon anyway so may just take an iron supplement x

Cosmicgirl, I guess the doctor/ mw is checking your bloods regularly if you have anaemia if they think you need extra iron won't they write you a prescription for the right mg anyway. xx

Yes they will but I want to take a normal dose (like the dose in Pregnacare) so that I don't become anaemic. Nip it in the bud if you like. Also I don't have the best diet so I know I'm getting all the vits I need this way. My iron was below 5 last time and I needed two blood transfusions - on not going down that road this time! x

Ok, I have the opposite I guess my diet must be higher in iron as if I take iron supplements as I won't be able go to loo for sometimes a week or more . I discovered this when I was pregnant with my first and the doctor gaven out iron tablets as a matter of course , I was in so much pain and discomfort til they checked my bloods. I'll only take what I know I need now .
I eat lots of green vegetables , red meat and fish .
All the best xx

See I don't eat red meat, rarely eat fish and don't eat enough veg, I need to eat more veg x
