Pre-Washing stuff

Wash everything

Most clothes are manufactured in Middle Eastern warehouses - sometimes boarder line sweat shops! Handled in shops , dropped on the floor.

I washed everything - bibs Muslims clothes bedding etc

I was the same as jenbob, when I was saying I was going to wash everything most people were saying they didn't so I wasnt going to, now im thinking I should x

I had no idea you had to wash new baby clothes :/ will have to sort that today I think xx

Yes ive used the White baby comfort too. I like the blue comfort but just using that on the rest for now! I'm sure baby will be fine soon enough and I'll wash them all in the same eventually. But yes I'd say yes to washing to everything just because you don't know where they've been or what is on them. I have a whites load to do today and then I have everything washed! 7ish weeks to go! Yay :) x

Yep, I've washed everything - bedding, clothes, muslin's, blankets, bibs, teddies, hoovered the carseat hahah xx

I hoovered out the pram carrycot and car seat too - only to find my cat curled up in it 2 minutes later! though to be honest I can't be too precious about that - baby will be brought into a home with a dog and a cat and though I'm a bit of a 'Monica' about the cleanliness of my home, pet hair is just something we have to deal with - I've heard it's good for babies - they'll be less susceptible to allergens in the future ...
Thanks for the advice re clothes/ toys etc. definitely seems a good idea to wash EVERYTHING when you consider its journey from manufacture to store.

Xxx

I'm the same with the dog hair, although I Hoover the dogs as well hahaha xx

Yea think I will wash now... Suppose it makes more sense to do it than risk it! Thanks ladies xxx

I didnt realise some didnt wash all their baby clothes? I mean we wash all new clothes for all family members most of the time. I am deciding if I want to use fabric softner or not... It just smells so lush but my mum is telling me it ruins clothes so I will start washing when I have decided if I will use fabric softner or not.
