(Sorry I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I didn't know where else to put it!)

So we have started looking at prams and I was wondering if you guys have suggestions? We are looking at a full baby travel system.

I am in love with the Silver Cross ones but I have read some reviews that it's quite heavy and that's what of the things I don't want! We want one that is easy to move around, and that you can have the car seat as the pram too (if that makes sense) as I wouldn't like to wake up the baby or having to move her everything we get in the car..

We're happy to spend up to around £1k but no more than that.

Thank you :)

I have found whilst looking that alot of them have such big back wheels. Most of the probably come off but it puts me off a bit
I like the look of the oysters however i think we may go for the mamas and papas sola 2. They have very good deals on at the moment .
If you have a large budget have you looked at I candy or bugaboos.
The beat advice I can give is to go and have a look and have a push around x

I`am going for the Uppababy Vista, You can use this pram as a single & when you want to expand your family can also be made into a double as well & even suitable for three with a buggy board so its a good investment for the future if your planning more children

When I was looking for my first travel system, I ended up buying the mamas and papas zoom which came with all 3, it's been fantastic and was under £300 full price! They don't sell that one anymore but I would recommend mamas and papas as a brand, very good quality, nice looking and not overly expensive.

I've got to try and find a tandem pushchair for a newborn and a toddler that fits a car seat and carrycot now, that's bound to be a pain

I have fallen in love with the cossatto wow! I’ve found it online for about £780 which includes everything as well as the car seat and isofix base! The thing I love the most about it is that it’s different to all the other prams which the gorgeous patterns! But I guess it’s a personal opinion really as you may want something a bit more subtle haha! They’ve got really good reviews and they’re brutish made which is even better!

Silver cross, my friends got the wayfarer and she loves it, I just can’t justify the price when you’ve got to pay for the bluddy colour pack which one isn’t included as standard yet you must have it...annoying! My friend however is on the shorter side and she said it’s one of the lighter ones that they tried! I think mostly it’s all down to personal opinion! Best thing to do is go into a shop and try them. I found mothercare really unhelpful! Toys r us were really helpful and I’ve heard John Lewis are too!

I think I'm going with the Silver cross.

Not sure exactly which but with my daughter I found my pram didn't sit far enough forward for her. She was constantly pulling her self up and getting mad. The silver cross sits almost straight and they felt light enough when I had a try. I found the carrycot version doesn't really matter and it's all about the next stage for us. We decided against a travel system since baby is only allowed in car seat for so long so I don't see the point. I think the silver cross ones we liked we're around £600-700.

Love my egg. I tried loads in the shop, went in thinking I knew what I wanted and then changed my mind after trying them all! Defo try them out.

I didn't use a car seat in the pram, we got a car seat that lasts longer instead and is fixed in the car. I've never had a problem moving him while he is sleeping in and out. Also as we live a drive away from everything he would be in there over the recommended amount of time if I hadn't swapped to him carry cot. He also looks more comfortable lay out in there. He is 8 months now and we still use the carrycot occasionally, mostly the pushchair seat now but the carrycot is still handy now and again and he just fits in!

Uppababy Vista is the one to look at i`am in the same boat as you needing a travel system for a newborn & toddler

I wish I knew about the uppababy when I was having my first!! Could have saved myself some cash in the long run :wall:

We got a Silver Cross with our first and I hated it! It felt like I was manoeuvring a tank. We bought a new pushchair after 3 months. This time we went with the Cosatto Giggle 2 and we love it. It’s so easy to manoeuvre and the chassis is really easy to put up and down. Hubby says he finds it comfortable to push which is good as he’s tall and has found with some others he has to bend slightly which hurts his back. We got an amazing deal on our travel system too. It was revived from £525 to £375.

Mamas and papas sola 2. Got a 6 piece bundle for £435

My first was the mamas and papas orb. Hated it hated it hated it. The handle to recline it snapped once dd was about 9 month and they wouldn't replace it as they said she was too big despite it saying up to 2 years. So she would have been stuck lying down :wall:

JoeyClare which one did you have?. That's interesting because when i was pregnant with dd I thought they were too heavy but the one I tried this time seemed light. Definitely don't want to end up with one that too heavy once baby is in it

We have the silvercross pioneer, got it with dd and got the car seat free. It does have weight to it but its not so heavy i cant manage it on my own. I like how simple everything is,one flick of a button and its collapsed, abother flick and its back up. Carey cot, seat and car seat all easily interchange in seconds and its easy to adjust the recline of the seat, again with the push of one button. The break is easy to work and after 2 years of heavy use is still going strong and the shopping basket is generous so can fit loads in. Even the height of the handle bars change with one push of a button which is handy as hubby is a lot taller than me so we change it depending who is pushing. We never got the isofix base for the car seat but found it really easy to put in the car with the belt,it never took more than 30 seconds once we knew what we were doing. Using it again for this one when he comes, would deffo reccomend! We do a lot of outdoor walking in the woods etc and have always found it handles really well xx

I think this is the one we were looking at! I think it supposedly flicked down but I wasn't sure if it actually would. Good to know I might just go for it xx

We’ve fallen in love with the Cosatto Wow... but as first timers this is based on pretty much sod all actual knowledge of what a good pram is but the reviews seem good

It’s currently on offer on kiddies kingdom with £230 off! Even more off if you like their Berlin pattern! I had mine delivered yesterday and it was sooooo easy to assemble and I love it so much cannot wait to use it!

We’ve just ordered the sliver cross pioneer. Hubby and I didn’t think it was that heavy and it’s easy to put up and down. It felt sturdier than some of the cheaper ones we were looking at but it’s all about personal preference. Best thing is to find somewhere that stocks them and go play xx
