Elexia will be 5 weeks on Tuesday, the bleeding tailed off about a week and a half ago and went to just discharge about 3 days ago it came back, some red, some pink and some brown. Im not experiencing any stomach cramps but i feel exhausted. Has anyone else had this? x x

M2A i've got this too, except my bleeding stopped at week 2 & now, more than 2 weeks later its back, only a little bit tho but enough to notice, i've been a week on the pill now, so duno if thats something to do with it. Was just thinking last night this could be my 1st period since Dec last year.

I started taking the pill day 21, so didnt think id have a period until i had my pill free week.
I started to worry thinking it could retained products due to me having a post partum haemorrhage and been put on a drip to help my uterus contract x x

I started my pill at day 21 too - and our LO's are only 2 days apart so it has to be something to do with the pill. I'm the same as you, I thought my totm would come in the pill free week!

Well I've had retained products, my bleeding after the birth had pretty much stopped when I was discharged two days later but then at day 16 I started bleeding again - sort of like a period but I knew it was much too early for that. Was bleeding on and off for 2 weeks more when I passed a clot. Not huge but certainly the biggest I had ever passed. That was it, no more clots and it all seemed to stop. But then I started getting cramping pains, like a period was coming. Over several days the pains became more like contraction type pain. Turns out I did have retained products and the bleeding ha slowed as a clot became stuck in my cervix. It was too big too come through on it's own and my body was trying it's best to ease it out. I had an internal and the doctor managed to remove the clot stuck in my cervix and could see there was a whole lot more to come as my cervix was still open. It was horrendously painful!! That night the heavy bleeding started, he had obviously cleared enough for the bleeding to come. I was rushed back into hosp as it was quite heavy. Scan showed lots of solid blood clots, possibly placenta but they couldn't be sure. I managed to pass most of it on my own later that evening in hosp but they gave me Misoprostal to help things along. I had two vaginal tablets and one oral later on.
I expected to be in agony when i passed it all but I wasn't - probably due to all the pain relief I'd taken earlier on!
Had a scan the next day and there is just fluid now so they think I just need a big period and I should be back to normal again!

I would say if your concerned def get it checked out, I didn't think for one minute after 4 weeks I could still have retained products as I seemed ok. I must say though one of my main symptoms is exhaustion. I'm so tired, even after sleep!

I too started my pill day 21 by day 25 had started to have period pains and started bleeding I too am very heavy for me but my pill is a continuous one where I don't have a break so can get a period some mths but never been this heavy on it !! Don't know whether I should worry now !! Rhea is only 4 weeks old and didn't get a period with the boys till at least 6 weeks xxx

Its strange how we are all the same after starting the pill on day 21, cant find anything on the net about it though x x

My bleeding is looking less & less like a period, I have a pad on & there's nothing on it, only a tiny tiny bit there when I wipe, kinda like the start of a period. I've been known to have very very light periods, lucky if its a teaspoon worth a day...very little

Mine seems to be heavier in the morning when i get up but quite watery during the day x x

I'm getting this - worrying about retained products now. Will mention it at 8 week check. Or perhaps I should go in sooner...

I'm really heavy in the night at the min slows a bit in the day. normally I only have 1 really heavy day this is day 3 !!! Will c how it goes and if it carries on I give someone a ring as I'm still 4 weeks away from my check up xxx

I read that postnatal bleeding can be normal up to 6 weeks. I think thats why I left it so long ad I thought it was just that. I think if your not having any strong cramping pains then it is probably just normal postnatal bleeding. I figured something was up when my bleeding tailed off but I started cramping quite bad. I'm still bleeding now on and off and the hosp had said it's normal xxx

I keep having period pains. Hmm might give someone a call xx

My bleeding went back to red this morning and it was heavier so I called the doctors this morning and she called me back, i told her everything that was happening and she said its my period/breakthrough bleed after having Elexia, she said it can take months for my cycles to go to just to bleeding on my week break, still going to mention it at my 6 week check though x x

Glad you got an answer there - peace of mind, eh!!! Xxx

How are things now ladies?
After speaking to the doctor yesterday, its got heavier, im not soaking pads in minutes or lossing clots though (this is when she said to worry)
Just wish it would stop now or atleast tail off a little bit :( x x

The last few days my bleeding has become worse, bad period pain too so thinking its my periods returning?

Seems to be slowing a little, but it's been the worst I've ever had - lots of clots too :( Hospital told me to expect some more heavy bleeding so I've not been too worried. Although at times it's been so bad I've consider calling them to double check all is well. This 3rd c section has really knocked me sideways, my other 2 were a breeze! Now I know why the surgeon was concerned in theatre and advised I have no more children. Definitely not having anymore!

Mine is like a heavy period now, where as the last few days it was just horrendous. It seems to be ba when I go for a wee (tmi!) and it just seems to start it off again!

Mine has finally settle so thing it was just my first period !! Bit early though I thought !! Hope it all settles down for u too girls xxx
