Ok, so I was awoken at 4am by this crackling noise next to my bed. I thought I had set my radio but then realised it wasn't the radio and I wouldn't have set it for so early anyhow. Then I realised that the fetal doppler I have had suddenly turned itself on. So I switched if off. 5 minutes later it comes on again all on its own so I switch it off again (its getting increasingly harder to switch off). Then 5 minutes after that it comes on again so this time I resorted to taking the battery out. I'm guessing the battery is dying and its coming on (like with fire alarms that make that beeping noise when the battery is low) but it was a bit creepy. I have rented the doppler for the past few months and never had any problems before. Maybe it is possessed. I wonder if tomorrow I'll be woken up by it spinning around on my bedside table - it was like something from the Exorcist.
Has anyone else had their doppler turn on by itself when the batteries are low? Is this normal?
