Positive opk 8 days in a row? Please help!!!

Hi everybody, I'm new here from Australia I have two sons with my husband a almost 4yr old boy and an 18month old and we are TTC number 3.

So I have 28 day cycles, first day of my last af was 21st feb. I am using opks and always get a blazing positive (two very dark lines as the instructions say) on day 17 (I have read most people ovulate on day 14 but I never have). So on the 10th of march I got my first +opk. I tested twice a day for 8 days and got 100% positives. (Last time I got 7 positive days of ovulation I found out I was pregnant with my son). I've had cramping on and off, smell sensitivity, diarrea (sorry tmi) on and off, trouble sleeping and twinges in the lower abdomen. Now I was due for af on the 21st of march and she has not yet shown her ugly face. I have been getting BFNs on hpts and I have tried a variety of tests including FRER.

The odd thing is after my 8 days of clearly positive opks they faded away to absolutely nothing, out of curiosity this morning at 14dpo i did a hpt and an opk and there is a second line returning to the opk test?? It's not a positive but isn't that a bit strange?? Of course hpt was again another bfn with my other two children I got a bfp by the time af was two days late, so I'm thinking if I was pregnant it should be showing up on a hpt by now?? Also ever since ovulation I have continually felt like af was coming because I've been really "wet" down there sorry tmi!!! More watery then egg white really but a little creamy too.

I hope somebody can shed some light on what is going on?
I would really appreciate your input

Hi millyz! Didn't want to read and run so thought I'd post as I actually have the same query! Tested today with preg test and also opk....preg test was negative as would b expected but opk test was almost pos? V odd?

I'm hoping and praying its a pos month but not sure.

Hey everybody!

So I told you I posted and at 14 dpo this morning I had a returning faint opk second line returning. Well I've just tested again after 4hr holding urine and it has gotten even darker then this morning!? I did a cheap hpt this morning though and bfn I did a FRER yesterday morning which was bfn too

Any thoughts? Still no sign of af that was due on the 21st march and today is the 24th of march???

I've had some really dark opks in the end of my cycle and I've been told it can be due to some cysts I have on my ovaries. If you get this more cycles I would go see my gp and talk to him about it. I'm seeing a specialist to get mine checked out soon!

The same thing happenned to me this month- I got a positive opk 8 days in a row. Ive been ttc for 4 months now but have been using opks for 9 months and generally only get 2 positives a month. I have no idea whats going on and those 8 days were extremely stressful.

The only thing i can think of is that during the 8 days of positive opk your body was gearing up and trying to ovulate but didnt for whatever rwason. You ate reporting to have had fertile cm inbetween then and now. Maybe you ate now ovulating hence why opk are now turning positive again. Would also account for hpt being negative.

Today ill be 7dpo, which is why I'm probably getting a bit to excited. No symptoms today at all so feeling a bit down. I know it's early but u just kep so wrapped up in tic and getting excited about it that it's disappointing to have no idea xx

So today I am 15dpo (15 days since my first of 8 positive opks) and still no af. Took a hpt this morning bfn I'm fairly sure there is an evap line if I hold it in the right light I have a pic but don't know how to post it
I also have this on and off tingling sensation in my lady bits :/ weird!!

Update! So I was due for af on the 21st of March and today is the 26th and still no af . I had a relax day today not thinking about pregnancy and awaiting the nasty witch but she has still not arrived... I haven't taken a pregnancy test today either out of protest haha.

I just stumbled across this. I had 8 days of definite positive opks. Extremely dark. I've only ever had two positives before. I was wondering if you ended up being pregnant?!? I've read a LOT of stories similar to this one and it seems every single one of them was pregnant! I'm hoping that will be the case with me, and it's driving me crazy not being able to find out AND my OB-GYN is sick and out of the office
