poppers or velcro on reuseable nappies??

Just a quick question- would you advise buying cloth nappies with velcro fastenings or with the poppers?

I wasn't sure what was better?

I like velcro - as you can pull it tight when the nappy has to be grown into (as they cover such a big weight range for one size) but you have to be careful to put the velcro together before washing so it doesn't go funny in the washing machine.

is it better to put wraps in say a pillow case? so they dont ruin other nappies?

Most velcro fastened nappies have laundry tabs so you can fold them back to prevent catching.

I always forget thought and am like a magician with a row of scarves when i pull the washing out

Which is why I prefer poppers these days
