ok so i feel this may be a little paranooid however in nov i had implanon fitted so id be safe. However i had a period at the very very end of december just in to new year. and yesterday started bleeding which i thought was my period AGAIN however its not gotten heavier and is just a few spots if yo uget me. after everything in the news about implanon im now PETRIFIED thats its implantation bleeding.......

i had it in for 3 and half years.. i had a couple normal periods and some very very light ones.. and then i had 3 periods a year.. and maybe a day of spotting every 2 months.... but i never was pregnant... i use to tell the nurse at docs that i get paranoid that i would fall pregnant on it but she said she had never had anyone fall pregnant at my surgery while having it in....

im sure you're right! thanks for replying on my other implanon thread btw. i always end up readong comments adn then thinking i need to reply to that and then lo gets in way. ill give it a little while longer see how i get on with it all etc and then take it from there. honestly scared to death for a moment.... LOL xx

my period was very strange on it and i never got pregnant can you feel it in your arm? i think its people who havent had it put in properly that have problems

it really worked for me.. but everyone is different...... what has been said about the implanon? i havent heard anything bad about it... but then again i do not read the newpapers or watch news..lol x

What's implanion? I had the coil fitted a month ago and a couple days ago started spotting then the next day was full on AF! I haven't had one since last jan so it's kinda weird having period pains! Lol

implanon is the thing inserted in your arm. Yeah massive (relatively speaking) numbers of women got pregnant even with it fitted. Claire24 on here did as well. So i just panicked..... ill give it a little while longer see how it goes. but iv started looking in to EVERYTHING that my body is doing lol im so bloody paranoid! x

If you can feel it in your arm then you should be alright hun.
But, if you're worried, maybe make an appointment with the nurse at your GP's?
And don't forget to use extra protection too, if you're concerned it might not be working.

(also, just a suggestion, as this is in the public bit of the forum, maybe edit the swearing out of the title? )

I got it fitted in Oct 09 and got it taken out in Oct 10, I bled every month on it but it was an awful lot lighter than normal period, so that's what it could be with u?

1lord i hope not ill be soo upset! if it doesnt settle by march ill be going back and wanting it removed tho as i really dont want to be on two forms of contraceptive!

Hope it settles for you hun, mine was so light I just had to use a panty liner and not a pad.
I found it so much better than the pill as I used to get migraines on it.

I still get little panics and I have it in nearly a year Although I am going to get the Nexplanon put in, it's the newer one which can show up in x-rays, and they can tell if it's in the right place or not x

i hope it does too sass. i feel thus far really 'let down' on it. my dr said give it 3 ths to settle and its been 2.5. ill be really stuck if after muarch its not settled as to what to do....do i stay with implanon AND the pill or just on the pill. i just felt so let down by my dr who harped on about how better it was than the pill - which i wanted to be on over anything, so felt a little badgered in to it - and then im gonna end up on pill anyway potentially..... grrrr x does nexplanon work the same way? x

Nexplanon is the exact same only it can be picked up in x-rays, no joking, I get spotting too, and completely FREAK out.. My cycles were the exact same each month before I had Odhrán.. So having irregular random spotting, bleeding really freaks me x
