Is it normal for breast fed babies to go 5 days without a poo??

At first he poo'd about 5 times a day, but for 5 days... nada!!

I'm on poo watch, Maybe I should go somewhere and forget my changing bag. It's bound to come then!!

My boy is breast fed and didn't go for days to begin with, midwife, GP and health visitor all said it was normal for breast fed babies not to go for 7-10 days at a time! Be warned though, when Cahal didn't go for 5 days, it was like Mount Etna when he finally did, we got through 6 nappies in just under an hour and ended up just holding his legs up over the nappy and it pouring out of his bum the poor little mite!

Oh and he pooh'd... it was immense, had to call for back up!! had all the kids on standby with fresh wipes!!

That must have felt good!! lol
