I'm trying to decide on whether to invest in a poddle pod or Moses basket this time around, any opinions?

With our DD we had a Moses basket but she was so long and she shuffled so much she was out of it and in her cot by 3 weeks old in our room.

So this time around the baby will be in the cot in our room from the get go but I'm not sure what to get for when we're downstairs during the day for him/her to sleep on/in?

Both times I haven't bothered with a Moses basket. Both of mine have slept in their carry cots for the first 6 weeks or so.
This time round my daughter after the carry cot went into a travel cot with her purflo sleeping nest and sleeps beautifully.
Downstairs I have a Fisher price newborn to toddler rocker. Both of mine have had this xx

Thanks ladies.

We need something sturdy for downstairs as we will have a 2.5yr old and a newborn so I can't just sit on the sofa like last ime and soak up all the newborn cuddles.

Think we have decided on neither a poddle pod or Moses and instead going to go for a babylo snug sleeper which can also be used in our room if we decide that or just in the cot xx

My eldest was 2.5 when the second arrived - she was such a little mother to the baby!

That's good to know mayflower.
We saw my friends 6 week old today and DD was so gentle with him and kissing him and hugging him, but when the baby is around all the time I'm worried she'll get jealous etc. So good to know that not everyone has bad experiences xx

Like above - used carrycot with Uppababy Cruz when downstairs. He slept in it a lot as for some reason I gave up the bed and slept on the sofa when OH went back to work. Def not doing that this time!!!

Also slept in the bouncer a lot, but like you that won’t work this time as have a 21 month old bouncing around.

All our furniture are hand me downs as we have the youngest kids on my OH’s side. So we have a swinging crib and a cot. I do fancy getting something that goes next to the bed with a side down though. Sorry, rambling! Xxx
