its not just a case of putting nets over your baby when they sleep, after your kit has burried its poo with its feet, it then walks around your home, on your work surfaces etc, transferring germs wherever it goes. and they are deadly germs ( i have to say, i hope you are letting OH clean litter trays and not doing it yourself)
i eventually gave my kits away to a loving home.
i believe it is cruel to keep cats as 'house'cats and i valued my babies health more than my love for the kits.
i know this sounds harsh but in my opinion it was in my babies best interests for them to go.
we still have the older cat and he has never been a problem........hope this helps

I'm not on a main road, but not far from one. My cats really don't wander that far, they normaly just hang around my garden. I remember the first time I let my kitten out. I was scared but my mate told me just to let her go. She didn't leave my garden for about a month!!
Misslarue said:hun if you can presuade your OH to let them out you really don't have to lose them. I do agree they should go out, its not fair on them, but if there is no litter tray in the house and they a pooping outside................cats are very clean animals. Obviously they shouldn't be walking all over your surfaces anyway. If its breaking your heart to lose them, talk to your vet he will probably beable to reassure you
This is worth a read too:
