Cats and babies can get along just fine, it just takes a little effort on your part. I bet you find they stay well clear once babba arrives anyway, I think they get put off by the crying and grabbing! I have two unused cat nets if you want them, mine never showed an interest!
Start now by stopping their access to rooms you don't want them in (nursery/ your bedroom?) Stop them going on work surfaces (if they do?)
If you have house cats you have to have a litter tray - fact , this is no different to whether you are pregnant or not (although make sure the OH is cleaning it out!) and you must have been aware of this before getting your kitten
If you have a suitable garden and want to let them outside how about something like this? http://www.purrfectfence.co.uk/ It will allow the cats access outside without putting them in danger from your busy road. If the OH is a bit of a handy man you could do this yourself with some netting/ wire. What you need to do is make sure the netting along your fence is sloping at about a 45 degree angle inwards as the cats can't climb over this.
I hope you can work something out, Evie loves our cat and dog, I think it is great for chidren to grow up with animals. Good luck, don't let people create problems in your head that don't exist yet, if you find it too much once babba arrives thats something you will have to deal with at the time
