I bought my girlfriend to hospital on Sunday evening with heavy bleeding and what looked like water loss, she is 13 weeks pregnant. They said it could be her waters breaking and that if it was that, they would eventually have to deliver the baby and it wouldn't survive. They sent her home to rest and see how things progressed and thankfully she was back this morning and the scan revealed the baby was alive and well and that there was fluid protecting the baby and the blood was starting to stop but not fully yet but just continue to rest and take it easy.

I have been out of my mind with worry, should everything be ok in the end or is it a waiting game? Thank You

It's really impossible to say if everything will be ok, but it's great news that the baby can still be seen alive and well on the scan.

I know lots of ladies experience bleeding in the first few months of pregnancy (and sometimes beyond) and it doesn't necessarily mean the worst.

The best thing you can do is make sure your partner rests up as per doctors orders and hope everything continues in the right way.

Good luck.

I hope things have settled now. Only just saw this.
