First time ever posting on one of these sites, I said I would never been the one to join them and try and chill out...things will happen when they are meant to.
But
My other half and I have been trying for two years to get pregnant, the first year it was more "just have fun and don't be on the pill" and the second year was more actively trying and aiming it at my fertile time. I'm even going to acupuncture and have been taking all the right pills (vitamins and maca etc etc)
My other half has two children from two previous relationships. So that's two women that have been pregnant by him. Since then, he has developed fibromyalgia and is on a pill called gabapentin. We tested his sperm as more of a tick box exercise, I thought it was me that had the issues due to some horrendous periods I had before starting the pill.
Anyway, it came back as poor morphology, more than likely due to the gabapentin he is on. So after a lot of tears there, I picked myself up, put on my big girl pants and my Dr wrote to the gyn department (I live in the UK). They came back today saying they would not test me further (I have had FSH and progesterone tests, all ok) as the infertility is male factored.
Now, we have an option of doing egg donation, and we would get IVF for pretty much free. But I'm finding it so so hard this evening to swallow this pill, and yes I'm bitter. It's so hard to think he got two women pregnant, and when it's my turn I get nothing?! And I have to go through all the pain and emotional trauma of IVF. I may be being a brat right now but I'm screaming in my head ITS NOT FAIR. Help please, anyone that can give me some light on this, anything. I feel on such a dark place right now
