please elp- can u av sex when 2cms dilated?

I'm not sure but i would say yes as long as your waters haven't gone and your not in active labour. if you have had a baby before sometimes you are always about 1/2cm dilated some people never go all the way back, plus if you hadn't had an internal you would never know if you were dilated or not

It's fine as long as your waters haven't gone! There's a risk of infection after the waters have gone!!

Personally i wouldn't just to be safe...wouldn't want to get an infection.

like MOM says women who have had babies before can be 2 cm dialted for ages before the birth and its safe for them its only if your waters break

I had sex when I was 3cm No one told me any different, and it threw me into full blown labour so I wasn't complaining x

yes you can, when i had my sweep done my midwife told me i was 2cm dilated and suggested that i had sex to try get things moving. theres no risk of infection as the waters are still there protecting your baby. your just not allowed to if your waters have gone
