I am after some advice,
I had breast reduction surgery about 5 years ago and was advised at the time future breast feeding may not be an option.
When I had my little boy who is now 10 months old I wanted to try breastfeeding to see if I could and unfortunatley I didn't produce any milk, not one drop so I ended up formula feeding him which I was fine with but now I am pregnant again I would like to give breastfeeding a go again.
This time I have bought an electric breast feeding pump to help stimulate milk production but Will this really help or is it just a case that my previous breast opt has ruined any chance of feeding my baby?

Do you have a local breast feeding advice service? they may be able to help and advise you.

As mentioned above see if there's any breastfeeding groups or anything near you.

My advice would be to keep on trying. Put baby on the breast as often as possible and lots of skin to skin. At first it always seems like you're not producing any milk because its just colostrum and baby only needs a small amount of that.

Try expressing before birth but personally I didn't get anything come out until baby was born.

Thanks ladies will do some investigating and find out about local breast feeding classes. Hopefully this time round is more successful
