placenta advice

hi girls i had my 20 week scan on friday and just seen in my green notes that in the comments they have put ant placenta
does anyone know what this means? xx[/u]

i don't know - mine said this too "anterior placenta but not low lying"

hey ladies
dont worry it only means that your placenta is at the front of your bump (think attached underneath your bellybutton) rather than at the back (as if it was attached near your spine). It doesnt make any difference to your pregnancy or birth. Only if it is low lying it may cause problem (known as placenta previa) but im sure you would have been informed if it was.

Mines anterior lying too the only difference I hear is that it takes a wee bit longer for anyone else to feel bubs,
