Pink spotting/bleeding - help my friend please!

Hi everyone!!!!
My friend from Belgium (who is staying with me for a week) has just got her BFP (I made her buy the test! )

She is thrilled, over the moon but a bit anxious, because over the past few days she has been spotting a little bit. It doesn't really look like blood as such, more like pink stains on her knickers. She hasn't got any heavy cramps or anything like that.

Has any of you experienced this before? How long did it go on for? What did the midwife say to you? Did it stop eventually?

i spotted and had quite a large red/brown bleed for 10 mins about when my period was due, so i thought..that was it!! but everything was fine, mw said happens to lots people.... i'm still having dark discharge now hope this is some comfort!

I had slight red/brown discharge at 7 and 8 weeks. I went to epu both times and no one could explain it.

Some women are just unlucky and experience this throughout pregnancy without any problems.

As long as she is not in any pain and it doesn't become heavy then she will be ok.

I would get some advice from epu, just to be on the safe side and put her mind at ease.

I got some brown/pink spotting at around 5 weeks, only lasted a morning. Had a bit of pale red in my pants the other day but didn't worry cos I didn't have any cramps and it was just a one off.
I'm sure your friend will be fine

I had teeny bit of brown spotting at 4/5 weeks, doc thinks it was an implantation bleed
hope she is ok, if it gets heavier or red or with pain she may need to call the doc or visit the early preg unit in her area.
