While little madam has a feed I thought I,d post my birth story.
Got woken up on Sunday morning at 4.45 with some pains, but I,d been doing that on and off for about a week so I went toilet and tried to get back to sleep but the pains kept coming and were quickly getting stronger. I rang the hosp at 6.05am and wrongly told them I started contracting at 5,45 and the mw said she doubted I,d be very far after only 20 mins, but I knew it was time to go, so we rang for my mil to come watch the boys.
We were going to get a taxi but I started feeling pressure so told Stu to ring for an ambulance. The call operator told Stu to try and get me to lie down so he could see any part of the baby, but I just couldn't get on the floor, I managed to do it quick inbetween contractions and Stu couldn't see anything. Ambulance came around 6,30am and they gave me some g&a. I started to feel the urge to push on the on the way.
When we got there, I was examined and was already 9cm and really had to push so the mw told me to just go with it. I,m guessing coz she was my third I,d get to 10cm in an instant. Her head was a little high and my waters still hadn't gone, so the pushing took a little longer than it had to. I felt burning as she started crowning and felt a pop as my waters went, then she came flying out.
Evelyn was born at 7,50am weighing 8lbs after a labour of 3hrs and 5mins
I had a 2nd degree tear, which took a good hour to stitch and Evelyn had done a poo whilst inside, so I had to stay for 4 hours to me monitored. I was going to stay on the ward and get some rest, but it was very busy and noisy so I decided I,d get more rest at home.
The first night she kept me up all night wanting to feed, but has since settled, she sleeps hours at a time in the day, and is up about every 1 hr and half at night, and so far is a very content baby. The after pains are a killer and I really can't wait for them to ease off.Her brother's are fascinated with her, always stroking her her hair or giving her kisses and me and Stu can't stop looking at her. We finally have a little girl!! I will post pics when I get to a computer, thanks for all your support ladies xx
so finally 4 weeks later, here is my gorgeous little girl.
