This is probably a silly question, but I have a real craving for pickled onions at the moment :? . My husband bought some from Tesco's for me but they have 'sulphites' in them. I don't know if it is risky to eat something that contains sulphites (I don't really know what they are). Does anyone else eat pickled onions and have you had any strange reactions. Are they to be avoided while pregnant? Thanks!

Don't know if they are safe of not as never heard anything about them. I ate jars of them in the first trimester, couldn't get enough!

I had a craving for them too when pregnant. Ate the whole jar  lol and me and baby were fine :D

I think sulphites are a preservative type thing and are in loads of things so should be ok

ive never heard of them but i ate jars and jars of pickles on my first child and he was fine xxx
