Hey all.

Last week I was diagnosed with Pelvic girdle pain and was given a lot of good advice from my physio. The pain is making me feel quite low though and I'm worried about how I will cope when I start to get heavier.

Have others had experience with PGP and how did you cope during your pregnancy?

Not exactly but I had sciatica in it last pregnancy and couldn't walk for two weeks.. ended up on crutches and it was horrendous pain.

I just think trying to do the absolute minimum is essential to make sure you aren't pushing yourself. Have you got pain killers? Xx

I feel for you as i know how painful this is, I took up gentle swimming & it really helped me X

I have this too. The main thing I find is sitting for too long makes it worse so I get up for a little walk about so things dont stiffen up. Doing some light stretching on my legs and hips helps too. I've not taken any pain killers for it but that's only my personal choice, the midwife did say I could see the GP for pain relief if I couldn't manage.

I have just started seeing an osteopath with an interest in it, maybe worth a shot there? Have read good success stories on other forums from women who've had this treatment. I've just started having to use crutches on occasion which was the case with my little boy too. Same as kimi if I'm sat down for too long it's bad but equally when I'm up too long so hard to find the balalnce! I'm terrible for slouching on sofa and not sitting on my sit bones which also makes it painful when I go to get up x
