I finally finished post natal bleeding about 2 weeks ago how long does it usually take for your first period to start?

I only ask as i can't start the pill until it starts.

Are you breastfeeding?

I was exclusively breastfeeding and mine came after about 4 months. My sister bottle fed her DS and hers came after about 6 weeks

Mine was about 4 weeks after bleeding finished. BTW I sure you can start taking the pill before your periods return and you don't have to wait for you first period. It just has to be 21 days after the birth.

I'm like 95% sure you don't. Ask you HV hun, she told me a lot of GPs say this but it's not actually the case, it's 21 days.
