Periods after Pregnancy????

Hi ladies,

My lg is now just over 6 months old. After she was born I had the usual lochia etc...and my periods started again within about 6 weeks. I didn't notice anything unusual until recently. Last month, a couple of days before my period I experienced very slight pinky mucous, and very slight streak of blood in my cm. My period then started a couple of days later, and was the usual 4 days long. This month I am getting the same thing.
Is this kind of thing normal after pregnancy? Is it just hormones settling? Has anyone else experienced this? I could have been getting this all along and only noticing it now....but I'd rather know what it is!!

Are you breastfeeding hun? Using contraception?

My bleeding post baby was very light and only lasted about 2 weeks. I went back on the pill after 8 weeks so I only had one 'proper' period and that was pretty normal for me? Slightly better than pre-baby if anything.

I breastfed briefly at the start, but moved to bottle feeding pretty soon after Lanna was born. Not on the pill either. I googled it (naughty!), and it gives a whole array of different causes for this type of bleeding from absolutely nothing, to hormone imbalance and other more serious things....
This month I've very occasionally noticed very slight pinkish cm, and a few very faint dots of red blood, over the past 2 days. Still haven't got my period though!!! I am a bit crampy as well, and have some twinges. Last month was similar only my period came (quite light) after the first day or so of pinkish cm. The thing is...it is now six months since I had Lanna so really my periods should be back to 'normal' shouldnt they??

I can't remember what was 'normal' for me tbh before I got pregnant!!!! I do know my periods have always been quite light and short, and always started off very light in the first day.
Trying not to worry about this over Easter...difficult!!!

I'm sure it is nothing but if you are worried then best make an Dr's appointment. They'll probably just offer a smear? Just to rule certain things out.

I had this this month too (only my 3rd period). Never noticed it before pregnancy, period always arrived suddenly.

I'm not worried, I don't think it means anything, just curious like you.

My periods changed after giving birth to how they normally were.

I also got pink streaks for us to 5 days prior to my period starting. The first month I got excited as I was hoping it was an implantation bleed, but it wasn't!

I never really thought much about the streaks though. I've had a smear since anyway and all was clear on that.
