First period after C section

Hi Ladies

Dumb question, but my experience of periods is quite limited as I only started having proper periods 3 years ago (I'm 41). I am 6 weeks 4 days post c section still having light bleeding and this morning it got heavier and bright red, I'm assuming this is a period? Anyone else recognise this? xx

Hello . I bled for about 6 weeks which got lighter then suddenly got heavy. I took this as my period coming back. I didn't have a break or anything x
