Period pains?

It's funny how when you start to TCC you suddenly realise all the finer details of how your body feels! I'm feeling like a half-crazed hypocondriac for posting this, but here it goes anyway)))))

Okay, I'm on day 17 of a 28 day cyclus. Ovulation was very early (thinking day 12?).

Anway I'm having period pains at the very lower bit of my stomach today, just as if I were coming on with AF... anyone know what this is?? I don't think I'm preggers because surely it's got to be way to early to feel any symptoms at all after just a few days? Could it be that I've misunderstood my ovulation, and I'm actually ovulating now (allthough it's more period pains that on a particular side).

My boyfriend actually noticed I was late for my period before I did but I told him not to worry as I was getting period pains so I thought I was going to come on but a few weeks later my AF still hadn't arrived and I was still getting the period pains. when my test showed I was pregnant I went to the doctor who told me it is normal to get period type pains due to the womb expanding for the baby. I still get them now and I know its 100% normal in pregnancy.

I'm still trying not to let myself get excited though, because it's still just about 5 days after ovulation.. that's really very early to be feeling anything, isn't it..? Ooohhh how nerve-wrecking!

I started to get period-type pain from 6-7dpo, I never normally get it that early before af and sure enough, I'm pregnant!

Im only around 5DPO but am having what sounds like the same kinds of pains. Am also hoping its not af, but am driving myself TOTALLY insane with is it/isnt it a symptom!

I've been getting AF type pains since 8dpo. But I got them last month too and the month before that so am not considering them as symptoms

No other pains or symptoms to report though. Can't really count my boobs being a bit sore as a symptom, because that's probably just because I keep feeling to check them all the damn time! Ha-ha!

how far gone are you vickyleigh?

I've got my first scan tomorrow morning it's a dating scan so i'll find out then how far gone I'am. My periods have always been irregular so it's hard to work out when my last one was. I was put on the pill in the summer to calm down my painful periods but came of it in October because I was getting bad side effects. I didn't think I could have children so we weren't worried about me getting pregnant but I did. Sorry I went on a bit then lol

i also got AF type pains a good few days before AF was due and just thought AF was about to come very early...turned out i was pregnant!

Well, I OV'ed really early this cycle but still trying to stay focused and not test untill gone AF due time which would be 28th ish. But I can't deny feeling it in the old bones that I might be quite easilly persuaded otherwise! ..especially now with these funny AF pains
