i know i keep posting, and i'm sorry to mither, its just it hurts :'(

Cramping over my Tummy and Back, it slowly creeps on me, can feel it progressing getting worse and worse, the pain is so intense for around 10/15mins then eases off?

surely if it was braxton hicks it'd only last few mins? and they arnt supposed to be painful? x

Hi,

I had this last week for 3 days every 20 odd mins lasting 10/15 mins exactly as you describe, felt too long to be a contraction and was awkward to time.

I thought it could have been labour but then it all eased off after 3 days of agony, Middy said some people can experience pretty strong BH's and the pain was also LO getting her head "Well down" as I was confirmed as fully engaged.

As your a wee bit earlier on than me and not full term yet I would be inclined to call your Midwife or local DAU to discuss these pains. When did you last have your wee checked too as a UTI can also cause these pains as well as the pains you described in your earlier post.

I'm sure your just unlucky hun and getting poo BH's like me and everything is fine, however I would call them again and insist on being seen just in case, as your symptoms can also be signs of pre-term labour. Thats what they are there for and I'm sure they will take you seriously, god knows I've bothered them enough!!!

Let us know how you get on hun.....

Thanks for your replie Cleo
I went into hosptial on Thrusday, doc checked i wasnt dilated, and hooked me up to a monitor everything was fine, was sent home within 2hours..

since thursday morning.. i've had the pains on average 5times a day each lasting 15mins plus..

the pain increases till its so intense i feel i could pass out...

My last midwife App was 2weeks ago, had sample checked then all was ok..

Got next midwife App on friday.. So will mention it all then to her too...
(no doubt she'll just say somethin in midwife language and send me away) lol...

I'm not too worried as Lo is kicking and being a general pain as per usual hehe, xx

Just want to Also Add..

i've been drinking rasberry leaf tea for about week and half now?

could that have anything to do with the pains? xx

There are all sort of unknown reasons for pain in pregnancy and im sure i had or got them all
BH can be quite painfull but shouldnt take your breath away so maybe it is your body getting ready, sorry i dont know what else to say but i hope you can get some answers when you see your MW.

thanks for you reply chick..

i dont actually think i've had braxton hicks as my tummy doesnt tighten?

xx

RLT is for your uterine muscles... if these pains only started after taking the RLT id be inclined to stop and see if the pain subsides.

I had this one day, luckily was the day I had midwife, so I asked her, and she shrugged
She said as my tummy was not getting tight she didnt know what it could be, I said maybe it was stretching pains and she agreed.
If it gets worse or you really cant stand it then pop down to the hospital, its what they are there for,and you shouldnt be spending your time in pain.
And I agree, stop with the RLT and see if the pain eases off

Hope it gets better soon

I would agree and say give the raspberry leaf tea a drop. You don't want your baby tempted into coming out too early before it's fully cooked.

I've been getting period pains almost every day for about 2 weeks and it's a pain. Although I don't get them as painful as you describe it does still hurt. My MW says it's just baby's pressure on my body

I have the odd cramping and period pains but nothing I would call painful as such. Speak to your MW about it hun
