we have just been talking about when i am on maternity leave and all i said was that i didnt want to stop in all day cause i would be bored and i got a lecture off two of my workmates!! they said "the baby dictates to you you know and you cant be a trolly dolly pushig the pram round the local town!!" and then they said "its not a doll you know!!!" I wouldnt have got pregnant in the first place if i didnt know what i was letting myself in for would i !! dont you just feel like telling people - its my life so shut up and mind your own business!!! am i being oversensitive!!!? sorry about the rant but i cant wiat to leave on maternity!!!!!!!

People are such idiots at times  Don't let their comments get to you.. I know it's easier said than done when you throw hormones into the mix but these people are not worth bothering about!

I leave me job on 29th May and I cannot wait! Fed up with my colleagues and their insensitive comments also, so I know how you feel!

aah thanks for your reply claireyfairey, glad i am not the only one fed up at work!! i have just been counting down and i only have 10 weeks left to work!!!! yey!!!! maybe our workmates are all jealous cause we will be off for a whole 9 months whilst they are working hard!!! ha ha ha!!!

:x What is wrong with some people.

I think you're absolutely right by the way to want to get out and about, it does both you and baby the world of good.

thats what i thought - glad somebody understands!! the surestart centre in my local town does lots of mother and baby groups so i will be joining all of those!! i dont want to be stuck in everyday watching daytime tv!!! lol

Jeeze people are sooo wise when you are preggers  Ive started being rude when people tell me what expieriences they have had and how it will be the same for me!!

There is no reason why you cant go out all day and be a socialite mum especially with the more child friendly world we live in, Id much rather that than get fat infront of Jeremy Kyle!

I went stark raving bonkers due to PND with my first and my only solace was being able to get out and about, if not I dont think me or him would be about now.

Stick to your guns its much better to be in the park or at a mums and toddlers group than moaping about at home and babies are very transportable, if you BF you dont even need to take bottles!!!

I have been so annoyed with other people's unasked for advice (especially colleagues). It has ranged from telling me I will have to give my dog away :x to people assuming that I will be useless at caring for a baby (my mother mostly!). I have just learned to make insanely outrageous statements until people realise that I am being sarcastic and that they are being overbearing

sounds like all work colleagues are the same then giving unwanted advice!! I think i may start being sarcastic and rude it will soon shut them up and they may get the message that i dont want their advice!!!! ha ha!or i just wont talk about when i am on maternity leave, roll on 10 weeks then i am off on maternity leave!!!

Hey Sarah, you will always get someone who wants to stick their nose into your business, especially when you are pregnant for some reason. I dont know what gives them the right to try and tell you how to live your life. Ive been pretty lucky with work, as most of my workmates are men so they have been nothing but helpful and doing all the hard work for me! However, I have had several strangers trying to give me their opinions on things which I really didn't appreciate and told them so! Ive had one child so I know what its all about and what kind of mum I will be, but people still try to override you and give you unwanted advice. Hope you are well otherwise, havent spoken to you in a while. Have some hugs    TC x

thanks for all advic girls and thanks for your hugs lisa, otherwise i am very well thanks xxx

oh, didnt you know. Everyone has an opinion when you are a new mum.
