Part time work and bank hols

Hi All,

I know its a way off but i aim to go back to work part time after the baby is born. A lady i worked with was telling me to choose tuesdays, wednesdays or thursdays as you are still entitled to a certain amount of bank hols if you are part time? Is this correct? Surely if you arent working the monday or friday then you arent entitiled to them?

I'm confused..

the only bank holiday i may work is easter, i work wed thurs fri one week and wed sat sun the next, i still get a day of for each bank holiday even tho i dont work them
but my worrk are good with holidays etc
