just wondering what everyone parents reacted like when they found out you were pregnant!

my mum went mad, then gave me the silent treatment then cried for about 15 hours and blamed herself then gave me a hug then got all broody!

My mam knew we'd been trying for 3 years so she'd had plenty notice lol. Was very happy Reece was her first grangchild

lol amy my mum was like yours!! she wasnt happy but said she would support n be there 4 me... blamed herself n we both cried 4 ages!! now shes sooo excited and cant wait!!

 

My mum said shit and 'f-ing hell' a few times, but with a big grin on her face and she welled up with tears she was so happy - her first grandchild too, and Mark's parents first grandchild

My mum is already asking for more grandchildren

mine told me to test she already knew she was very diaapointed but wen she calmed down was happier than me lol and i was VERY happy after the shock went

My mum was brilliant, she didnt seem shocked or suprised - although i'm sure she was. I was in a right state because telling her was the scariest thing i have ever had to do!

She reminded me that it could have been worse, and reassured me she'd always be there for me. She told my dad later the same day and he phoned me to say he loved me and they'll stand by me.

It wasnt so bad after all!

Did anyone tell their parents together? I was waiting to get my mum on her own for some reason didnt even think about telling my dad and her together!

I don't think i could have handled telling them both together! My dad doesn't get in til very late most nights anyway so it wouldnt have been practical - but the thought would have terrified me at the time!

i dont no why but i couldnt tell my parents together!! lol even though my dad is actually calmer than my mum so if id told him he probs wudda taken it better than she did!! he was the one who calmed her down about it!! lol
i agree though, was the hardest thing ive ever had 2 do!! cant wait 4 him 2 get here now though .... am sooo excited

My dad was so happy and shocked i phoned him and said hi grandpa and hes like you know you phoned your dad right and im like ya but you gotta get used to being called grandpa now lol, he was speechless.
My mom i talk to her only few times a year to every few years dotn have a good relationship at all always fight she is a druggy and a alcoholic and she only called until Kiara was born and got pics from Bernies aunt and now she hasnt spoken to me since .

i told my mum a few weeks after i found out. i was so shocked and it took ages for it to sink in. my mum was really angry and then just cried and said she would always be there for me

i told star as sn as i found out n then i told my mum after n she just hugged me n hugged me lol. she cant yell @ me coz she'd b a hypocrit (sp?) if she had us 2 @ 15

It was really weird for me actually, i was hoping for my test to come back positive but when it did i was really shocked and i tried to ring my mum but she left her mobile at home, lol so i rang my boyfriend crying and he was really sweet about it, when i did get round to telling my mum she was shocked and just wanted to know what i was going to do...she cant wait now though hehe.x

My mum knew we were trying but she was shocked as was I when I fell pregnant first time but she was over the moon! She adores my son now. My dad doesn't know he's exists because we haven't spoken to each other for 2 years.

I tried but just couldnt tell my mum, in the end I got my sister to tell her!!!! Then I walked in and she just had this look on her face and she said 'ohh Laura I didnt want u make the same mistake as me' which made me cry becuase she said I was a mistake!

Then she gave me a hug and we talked and she soon came round to the idea and now she loves Ella to bits and we wouldnt change her for the world.

My dad thought it was pretty cool that he was going to be a grandad!

mine were shoked at 1st made me take a test 2 make sure but after the tears n shoutin dey was fine n happy n now they lv tyreece mre dan dey lv me lol
