Hi ladies

I have been told by EPU and my GP to take paracetamol when on pain.

I did when I had a cold when I was around 5 weeks pregnant..

I have taken 1 tablet, yesterday evening, 1 tablet around 3 am and 1 tablet around 10am..
as I have a bad cold, headache and temperature.

I just saw online that it is not safe in some posts..

This has made me very worried now ..

I would take the advice from the EPU and GP. I had to take sone paracetamol in early pregnancy when I had awful headaches. I had the whopping cough jab the other day and the midwife who done it at the hospital recommended to take paracetamol after if I felt I needed it which I didn't. You can have it in labour too. I just wouldn't take it religiously every 4 hours x

I'm sure the EPU and the GP would have the latest advice on paracetamol. It must be safe if they've both said so. Try not to worry are you able to speak to either of them about it so you can feel reassured?

Ignore anything online unless it’s from the NHS website (but what we are saying will agree with the nhs!). Like the others said trust the gp and hospital. You’ll find a million scaremongering stories online about all things pg related. Try and keep dosed up to keep your temp down but obviously stay within amount recommended by GP x

Just to echo what others are saying, paracetamol is one of the only things we can take! I'd rather take a proper full dose and not have a high temp, the temp is likely more dangerous for baby than paracetamol is!!

Thank you for all replies..

The nurse said it was fine... exactly what you ladies said ❤
