Hi,

I'm new to the forum. I am god knows how late I am and I am still waiting around for my cycle to kick in like a numpty. So recently my nipples have been so sensitive, I can't barely wear a bra and my stomach has been experiencing really bad cramp like period pains. My friend joked about me being pregnant so to put her mind at rest I did a test and long and behold there is a bun in my oven.

I am now at panic mode. I went out drinking on Saturday so I'm concerned about how much damage that may have made.

My cramping pains come and go (maint at night) and wake me
Up. I am full if wind its jut ridiculous (sorry if it's TMI)

I don't know how long ago my period was. I could be any where between 2 weeks and 8 weeks. I'm dreadful at keeping a track of my cycles especially cos my job is so stressful it makes them irregular.

I havent told my other half, he has been signed off with stress so this bomb shell will send him
Over board. I don't even know what tablets to take, when to call my doctor. Absolutely nothing. Help! :-(

It was something planned either :-(

Hi hun

Put the night of drinking behind you, it likely did no damage at all

Get some folic acid tablets, they're about £2 for a bottle in boots which will last you as long as they're needed, take 1 a day

I waited til 6 weeks before calling my dr but some ppl do it right away. If you don't know how long since your last period then it's worth phoning up now, the dr will set everything in motion and tell you what foods to eat etc

Xx

Thanks for coming back to me. Conveniently my sister is 6 weeks ahead of me so I can speak to her about it. Are the cramps normal? My friend said its my womb stretching ready to expand but isn't it too early for that? There's no bleeding or anything and it just comes and goes. Mainly at night when I start relaxing.

Cramps can be a common pregnancy symptom, so I think you only need worry if they're excruciatingly painful or like you say if you have any bleeding. I don't know the medical reasons why people get cramps but lots of ladies seem to get them in very early pregnancy

Hopefully your sister will be a big help :)

Xx

af cramps are pretty normal yes i ahve been experiencing these on and off since about 4 dpo scares the crap outa me sometimes thinking summet is going wrong but its just normal and its just little bean getting cumfy in there and things moving and shifting try not to panic and maybe get a digi that will say roughly how many weeks u are xxx

Hiya :)
I had cramps from very early on too and was told nothing to worry about unless they are really terrible and there is bleeding.
And don't worry about the boozy night, one night won't have done any harm Im sure, I think a lot of people have a drink not realizing they are pregnant yet!
Try the digi for a date, but I went to the doctors as soon as I found out (not very patient person lol!!)

Good luck and congrats x

Hello! Congratulations :D. To echo the other girls, cramps are normal and I had a massive boozy weekend the weekend before I found out I was expecting and my babs is growing fine :). I was terrible at keeping track too! I didn't even realise I was over a fortnight late for AF hahaha! Best bet is to go to the doc and find out just how far you are for sure :). Chin up! And don't panic! Oh and definitely don't google anything, especially to do with drinking when pregnant!! LOL. Google is the enemy!!

 hello and congrats! Hope you can tell your oh soon, you'll need some support! the cramps are normal, I'm getting them on and off the whole time, as the girls said get some folic acid, really important in tri1 to help the nervous system develop properly. A pregnancy multivitamin has it in too. Good luck :)

Hello and congrats!! The cramps are normal, just your little bean snuggling in :) the night of drinking probably didn't do any damage, try not to worry about it. You need to tell your OH soon, he's going to know eventually haha :) phone your doctors and book an appointment, they'll be able to tell you how far along you are and book you in for your first scan :D also, buy some folic acid tablets, they're not very expensive and you just take one a day with your evening meal :) xx

don't panic, it won't help, ok good luck xx
