Hi,

I’ve just spent the night painting my living room ceiling with my hubby and just decided to double check it’s ok when pregnant and seen some bad things that you shouldn’t paint in the first trimester due to the chemicals. I’m now really worried. Has anyone else painted in the first trimester before and experienced any side effects? Sorry it’s the first time I’ve been pregnant and probably just overthinking things... I’m feeling completely fine in myself. I’m only 4 weeks + 5 days.

Thanks!

As long as the room was well ventilated, you should be fine, not lead based is it hehe

If the fumes are enough to make you dizzy or headachey, then that could be a problem. But if you had good ventilation and didn't feel weird, it's probably fine. I'd make hubby do all the painting from now on though lol

It’s a good excuse as any to get out of painting haha!
