Hi everyone

I'm 32 week today and ive been experiencing pains in my cervix and lower abdomen and sometimes a bit of back pain.

The pains are sort sharp shooting pain but not excruciating just uncomfortable, they don't last long enough to make me feel uncomfortable.

Has anyone experienced this??

Ive not had any bleeding or fluid loss so I'm sure it's nothing serious, it's just playing on my mind

Thanks xxx

Could it be braxton hicks hun? Sorry not much help.

Hope you and baby are OK :-) can't believe how far you are now xx

Hi hun, I've been getting horrible short sharp pains 'down there' for the past couple of weeks, also lower back pain. I saw the midwife on Friday and she says it's because babies head is in my pelvis and hitting a nerve x

Thanks :) no don't think its Brixton hicks ive read about them but it doesn't feel like those! Yeah I feel like baby has defo moved down!! How scary lol xxx

Hi Coleen, I had these for about 24 hours during the week. I put it down to either Brixton hicks or round ligament pain. I had a dull ache in my back and sharp shooting pains at the very bottom of my bump. They have since went away so hoping it was all normal. Hope you feel better soon and if you are worried ring your MAU x

Think it sounds like your baby just being so low down and heavy now, I'm assuming he/she is head down, and this could just be pressing hard on your pelvis and nerves etc. I'm feeling alot of shooting pains and pressure now. Braxton hicks make my tummy go all hard for a short while and are uncomfortable. Doesn't sound like that though. Baby is getting ready eeeeeek! Not long for you! :) x x

Thanks ladies, ive not had it today so must have been the positioning of baby like you said! Can you believe were all having our babies soon! I'm so excited lol! Although I'm getting rather jel of all these people enjoying a drink in the beer gardens haha xxx

I had this the other week, not excruciating but enough to stop me in my tracks. The midwife said it was probably baby's head hitting the pelvic floor. It only happened for a day or two and then stopped so baby must have changed position xx

Yeah I think your right hun, my pains have stopped now! xxx
