its embarassing i dont want to go to the doctors coz i dont want them
to look at my bum but its agony sometimes! i've tried all the deep heat/
    ice pack etc..its no help!!

It sounds like Sciatica that gives you a pain the bum.

you dont have to be pregnant to get sciatica, men get it too

It could be that as it does hurt in the bum, but also lower back and thighs usually, so it could be but im not 100% sure if it would hurt ONLY in the bum, if that makes sense!

Could you have sat down too hard or banged it in your sleep perhaps? Or any other activities  that could have banged the bone?

:rotfl: i should be so lucky! lol

i went to the doctor this morning i have sciatica,
probably caused by straining the muscle lifting hayden..
he didn't look at my bum woohoo!
apparently it can just hurt in your bum it depends if its
caused by the muscle being pinched as in pregnancy,
strained like me or squashed by a damaged disk in your spine!

got some pills hope it goes away soon..thanks for the advice everyone
     xx

I've got exactly the same thing!!! I was on the phone to my sister the other night and my bum cheek started to hurt, felt like a trapped nerve and its been hurting ever since! My OH and dad said it sounds like sciatica. What pills did doc give you? Is it worth me going to the docs?

    just some strong anti-inflammatries (sp?)
you could use strong ibuprofen, or go to the docs to get
    something even stronger!
    mine feels better already..:)
hope you sort urs out hun

    Cheers matey

I couldn't believe it when I saw this thread because it freaked me out a bit when my bum started hurting  I can't take ibuprofen because of other medication I take so I've just been taking paracetamol. Its not as bad as it was, just twinges really bad every now and then.

    Heres to pain-free bums :moon:

    :D
