Hey!
So I always get ovulation pain what I was wondering is does anybody else get it and do you think it’s before during or after ovulation? I had ewcm 2 days ago where it was stretchy then yesterday and today just watery iv had ovulation pain on the left all day! Normally it’s only a few hours but today it’s been about 10 hours so far. We did the deed every from cd 10 up till yesterday so I’m hoping we’re in with a good chance last month I ovulated on cd 12 this month today is cd16! Xx

I don't think it's after ovulation. I think the sharp pain is during, so your body is in the midst of ovulating.

The dull pain is usually the days before and the sharp pain during, in my opinion.

I get ovulation pain, although not every month. When I do get it, it can be excruciating!

I believe it happens during ovulation as the egg is released. I don't think it's known exactly what causes it but there is the thought that there can be a small amount of bleeding as the egg is released and it's the irritation from the blood that causes the pain.

I've been googling this recently, and as fair as I'm aware there is no scientific proof at which stage ovulation pain occurs. Mainly because each person experiences a different cycle, some are more in tune than others and people experience pain differently. For me however I think my pain is caused by the release of an egg. I think this because on the day of my positive opks I had very minimal ov pains, just a very very slight dull ache. Yet the next day I woke with extremely painful ov pains, to the point where it made me wince when getting out of bed, yet my opks where negative. As the day went on my pains became less intense. This morning they are back to a very dull aching. So, this is my reasoning that my pains occur either at the point of ovulation or immediately after. Xx

It can be different for everyone. Most people get pain right as the egg breaks out of the follicle but some people get pains as it moves down the Fallopian tubes. Sounds like your pain is after ov so you're probably getting some cramping as it makes its way to your uterus. I'm the same. My pain is definitely after ov too.
