I just found out I will ovulate around friday next week and I wont be able to be with my man right then, so I wonder how long can sperm survive most likely? 5 days? I will be with him 2 more days and then I wont be with him again before 2 weeks or so :wall2:

Need any suggestions or ideas wht to do:)

I think 5 days is about right hun.
Don't worry, your time will come x

The average sperm can live inside you for upto 36 hours - so three days. Research suggest they might be able to live to five days or even seven, but these are unusual.

In the vagina they die after a few hours and not many make it inside. There is a product called "softcup" that sounds like a diaphragm that is supposed to hold the sperm against the cervix so that more will hopefully make it inside.

You're just going to have to have sex and then hope for the best - at least you'll still have a chance :)

Sigh......... I hear where you are coming from, I couldnt be at home with DH when i ovulated last month, and it's really really depressing as you get closer to AF and know there is no chance at all that you could be pregnant.

No getting excited far too early with random symptoms, no peeing on sticks twice a day as you get more and more convinced......... it's just pmt, bloating and cramps, yay.............

On the plus side there isnt that massive tearful let down when you discover it was all in your head, you can just make sure you go for double time the following month (that's my plan anyway ;)).

It's an extra month to fill up on folic acid, to go jogging and burn off those last few cals before you have to stop, to drink lots of lovely wine, to lift heavy things ........... um, I might be scraping the barrel with that one, so I'll stop there xxx

Maybe get some Sasmar concieve plus...I think its supposed to keep the swimmers alive a little longer. Anything is worth a go
