So, as posted in another thread, it turns out our little Milo is a girl! We were 100% set on his name, however struggling with a girls name (it was pretty much between Poppy and Evangeline)... so now the search starts all over again.
On our way back from the scan today, I already started thinking about names haha I don't know but my biggest worry right now isn't even returning all the blue stuff we bought, it's more whether we can find TWO girls names, since we couldn't even find one before...
I think my fiance thought it was a little odd I'm already worried about a name for her, since we just found out our boy is in fact a girl and everything was just turned upside down, but that's just how I am :D

Here is a short list of my current favourite girls names - feel free to combine as you like or suggest new combinations that you think would go with either of the names

Evangeline
Poppy
Charlotte
Blair
Liliana
Vivienne
Emilia
Violet
Alyssa (wasn't in the run before, because Alyssa Milano's son is named Milo so thought that would have been odd to name twins Milo and Alyssa, but now that it's two girls it's back in the game)

was thinking about Mila, since she was going to be a Milo, though the Mi in Milo is pronounced "my" and in Mila it's "mee", so it is a little different... I LOVED Milo and I think Mila is beautiful but I don't love it AS much.
Starting to really like Evangeline & Charlotte, though...

As in Mila Kunis? I like it.

How about Poppy and Evangaline?

I'm telling you - she wants to be called Mila!! It's a sign! I think Mila is also short for Milena which I love also.

I really like Evangeline too x

I love Evangeline and Charlotte - so classy and beautiful! Just caught up with your other thread, what a shock! xx

I like Violet and Vivienne.

Although not sure if you want to go down the alliteration route?

Shocking news about the gender mix up but I am sure once you get your head round it you'll be dandy.

Evangeline the best name ever -)) Just adore it-)) The second place goes to Vivienne (also like Vivian). Other names don't like at all! Mila is nice but not even close as good as Evangeline and Vivienne))

thanks ladies, for all the lovely suggestions!

Haha maybe it is :p The more I think about it the more I like the name Mila! Though I don't really like it too much in combination with Evangeline. It was the same reason we leaned a little more towards Poppy instead of Evangeline when we thought we were going to have a Milo - somehow I feel like they don't match too well, Evangeline seems long and classic to me, while Milo/Mila is short and more modern... However I do like Mila & Violet together!

My fiance seems to really like Evangeline & Charlotte, too.. they're both classic and go well together IMO.

We like all the names from our list (obviously), but I think Mila & Violet and Evangeline & Charlotte are both taking the lead so far!

If you were trying to decide between Poppy and Evangeline beforehand, why not pick both now? Xx

My friends little girl is Myla and I love it, there's no competition for me, it would be Mila xxx

Was my first thought :) though i'm not sure if they really go well together.. when we decided on Milo we were leaning a little more towards Poppy, since it's short and modern like Milo, while Evangeline is more classic and long... so I think we prefer another classic and/or longer name if we go with Evangeline (like Charlotte). Same if we were to choose Poppy I think we'd combine it with a short and/or modern name (like Mila, Violet, Blair)

I think it's just because they're twins... If one was older than the other I think I wouldn't mind at all giving them different names, just because they're twins I feel like their names should combine well.. but maybe that's just me being a little weird and thinking too much about it? Maybe exactly that would be a "nice touch" - giving them "opposite" names... one classic and one modern name... could be nice too

My friend also has a Myla. I'd never heard of it before, but it's so pretty. I also love Blair, but I'm bias as it's my brothers name xx

How about Maya (said my-a) and Evangeline, I think they go well together and Maya has the same sound as Milo...

You have some lovely names on that list of yours though!

xx

Vivien always makes me think of The young ones lol.

How about Mya? (My-a) or (My-er)

Unfortunately, I'm not on team Evangeline - I really dislike it.

Again, Poppy is not a favourite of mine either - it's very much a little girls name, not so much an adults name.

How about Charlotte and Evelyn?

Or Emilia and Imogen?

Pheobe and Imogen is another alternative - I love both names.

PS: Sorry if i've offended you with my opinions.

Not at all! I appreciate everyone's comments and opinions differ - which is good - otherwise everyone would end up with the same name :)
And I can see your point with Poppy being more a name for a young girl rather than a grown up... IMO it's such a lovely name for a little girls, but couldn't really picture a 40-year-old Poppy tbh ;) it's still in our top 5 though, but keeps going down in the ranking...

I'm not too keen on Evelyn, since I went to school with an Evelyn who was a total bitch haha! I like Imogen, but my fiancé vetoed it... We do LOVE Phoebe, though!! Thanks for reminding me how much I like that name. Just went up on the list haha

Phoebe is a lovely name and goes well with Emilia from your list for your other little girl ☺.

Do you think Phoebe would go with either Mila or Violet too? Starting to get pretty keen on these two... I thought Violet was pretty popular, but the link JJmum posted where you can see how popular baby names are said it was rank 78 in 2013...that's not even that popular ... I'm a first time mum so I don't really know how many Violets and Charlottes and Evangelines are running around in nurseries and schools these days...

Yes, in fact they will as everyone in my family and also his family has a middle name... which makes this name search even harder haha when we thought we were having a boy we decided on Milo James, which is obviously off the table now haha and then for the girl we were thinking about Poppy Evangeline... but now we have started again from scratch, sooo I feel like we'll never ever find suiting names for them :( I really wanted to have decided on names by now, since, well twins are usually early and you never know when they will (keeping fingers crossed it's not anytime soon)

soo...if by any chance you have nice ideas for middle names or can combine any from our list that would work as first and middle names - I'd love to hear your suggestions :)))
It's so difficult, we need to find 4 names in total that all go well together and also with our last name...
