Opinions?

I think I really like the name Nora for a girl but my mum says it's awful, what are everyone's opinions 'cos now I'm not sure but I think it's really cute!

It's not a name I would choose, but I have a friend who called her little girl the same, but she spelt it Norah x

I'm not sure if it sounds too much like an old lady's name haha, I guess if I have doubts about it it's best to take it out of the list but we'll see I guess

I really like it! But I love old fashioned names in general (my daughter is calle Joy)

I love Nora, I suggested it for ours but spelt Norah (somehow seems more modern yet softer with an 'h') but OH said no. We love Amelie too much anyway.

One thing I tell anyone here is that the only people who get to decide your child's name is you and your other half. No one else should get a say at all. Of course opinions are like belly buttons - everyone has one (I think that's how the saying goes...) but that doesn't mean you have to listen. Anyway, some names I've heard and said to myself 'hmm... not a fan' but when I've met the little one it's undoubtedly their name, it just fits. Follow your heart on this one.

What are you boys names? I can't get my other half to agree to anything! Well, he loves William and Henry but they're taken by family and friends. Hopefully you're having better luck

I'm not mad on the name Nora, but mainly because I know someone who aller her daughter that, and I don't like the mum!

We have Amelie, and adore the name.

That said, I agree that it's your choice, don't listen to anyone else!

We've decided on Felix for a boy but don't have a middle name, really hard to think of one!

I loved Nora but my friend called her little girl Nina and i thought it was too similar. I would spell it Norah too.

We now have a Cora instead! X
