I managed to show ds the right way to climb down from the sofa when he was about 10 months old. Since then he's only fallen off once (and I was in the room at the time!). Try showing him a few times & you may be surprised how quickly he picks it up.

I get worried if Nathan isn't attached to my leg and usually find him standing on Aimees arm chair with a big grin on his face. He's fell off it loads of times but he just does it again anyway. They know how to scare you don't they.
