Hi Everyone,

Currently my OH works 16 hours a week, (10 hours in one job, 6 hours for my dad as he is contracted for six hours.)

I am currently on Jobseekers (will be switiching to I/S once in hit 29 weeks) and we get housing benefit to help with our rent.

My dad has offered OH overtime this month (business is pretty tight, so overtime has never been an option before until now) and this month only.

It works out OH will probably be working 26 hours a week for one month only, Do we need to notify the housing benefit of this for one month? Or is a one off overtime payment ok (we thought it would be good to help with costs for the baby before OH goes back to uni, the SAAS comes in and our housing benefit will be reduced anyway.)

I don't want to be doing anything dodgy, and I don't wanna be cheating the system or anything, but the extra income for a month would be a big help for baby things!

Does anyone know what the deal is with overtime that isn't regualar?

As far as i know you have to tell them of every bit of income. Even if you do car boots lol. xxx
