So as some of you may know Jazz's little girl Layla was born prem and she's been switched to prescribed formula as she's lactose intolerant.

They have been in and out of hospital with Layla, as she's been suffering with really bad reflux, which has been causing her to choke, and sometimes turn blue and/or go limp. they most recently got out of hospital last night after Layla has been put onto a different formula and medication. She has also lost some weight and has dropped to the 25th centile.

Jazz was wondering if anyone had experienced anything like this, and if so what worked for you? literally anything anyone knows would be very much appreciated.

thank you for reading x

I haven't personally but my mum had it with my brother. He was prem and ended up going through every milk possible and on could stomach soya milk powder. Don't know if thats any help. xxxx

Joshua wasn't premature but at 4 weeks was rushed to hospital as his breathing stopped and he was limp. He had a cows milk intolerance! He would scream all the time he would Ooo water it was horrid. Eventually got him on to nutramigen formula and was literally a different baby. Hugs hun x

I have no advice I just wanted to wish them both well and I hope this new milk is the right one x

Hey hun,
My LO was prem, and we had such major issues with feeding and went through all types of prescription milk, lo doesn't have an intolerance. Ended up using normal Aptamil, which was perfect for him. Its soo difficult having a very prem baby, esp with the feeding side of things. I just used to wish he would have his feed like a "normal" baby, it was always such a drama at feed times. But tell Jazz, it really does get better....it just takes time xxxxxxxx

after another spell in hospital a last week (i think) they have yet again changed her milk and the medication that she was put on, and she's responding well :) hopefully this will continue to get better for them! i'll try and get an update from jazz in the next few days!
