omg scan

im quite a paranoid person anyway... but the docs just phoned and ive got a scan on tue im really scared that they wont be able to see much because im so early which will worry me more than just wondering if everything will be ok. i believe that i concieved on the 30th of oct so it will be 4 weeks and what can they tell me at such an early stage xx

I had a scan at this stage before and baby was just a dot but they got the right measurement, its weird you can get a scan this early on but I was just to return 2weeks later to make sure baby had grown right and next time I went I seen a little heartbeat. Good luck xx

aww thats made me feel abit better im not exspecting to see a ful blown baby in there but coz its my 1st im scared im going to mc and i dont want them telling me that at the scan xx

How many weeks will you be? Your ticker says you are currently around 5 weeks?

I had scan at 6 weeks and 2 days, it was an internal so be prepared for that. But it looked like a jelly bean, and a heartbeat was flickering away.

well my last period was 14th oct but i believed i concieved on the 30th of oct so how many weeks do u think i will be its all confusing to me xx

Going from your past period your exactly 6 weeks today! Around 6 weeks the heart stRts to beat so you may see I flicker of a heartbeat on Tuesday xx

Wow Laura! I hope the scan goes well, even though it's very early to see much. Fingers crossed. I've got my dating scan on Monday 12th December and I'm s****ing bricks. Trying not to worry! Hope everything goes well. x

Just remember that if you don't see a heartbeat it's nothing to worry about!! Sometimes you won't see it til the end of the 6th week. I was looking at this website last night:

and it made me well up a little bit!

I'm hoping to get a 5 week scan privately if I'm still getting bfps by then (never made it past 5 weeks before), but my ticker might be wrong and I might be just past 4 weeks by the time I go. So it's good to know there should be a wee dot there!

Hi Laura. I'm coming up to 10 weeks tomorrow (I think! I'm a bit ropey with my dates at the mo). Best of luck with the scan! I kind of wish I were having one too x
