That's fantastic I'd go to a bf support group as others say lots of skin to skin maybe offer him boob give bottle and then offer boob again. Know TA a lot but you never know xxx

So we just tried our first feed

I expressed for a few seconds before hand so that milk was flowing

He was on/off the boob for fifteen minutes (but staying on longer than last night)

The he took a 4 oz bottle ( he would normally have 6-7

So hoping he hot the other 2-3 from th boob



I feel bloody brilliant! I just breastfeed my boy

I forgot about the bath thing. My LO latched on for the first time in the bath. My BF support woman said that often happens cos of the water.

I do it all the time, obviously it means having a bath around the 37 degree mark and I have to use C's bath products but hubby just passes C to me when I am in the bath and we splash around together. Hubby then takes C from me when finished. Xx

I don't like bathing baby on my own, I've always have a fear of him slopping from my hands so I prefer to bath with him x

How did you achieve this? did you just keep taking the shields off during feeds? I'm still using shields. He can sometimes latch onto my right nipple but always struggles with the left. I'm starting to think it may possibly be my nipples that are the problem. Could this be the case? sorry to hijack your thread tweety!!! Had some skin to skin in bed before his bath and he lay down next to me and had a wee go

He clearly knows his own mind though - he's proper like, "this is harder mum, gimme a bottle"

I'll keep trying though, I don't think he's opening his mouth wide enough so we need to work on that
